The Trail Mix is scheduled for Saturday, April 19, 2008 at the Hyland Lake Park Reserve, 10145 East Bush Lake Road, Bloomington, MN.
Three different trail races are offered:
50K Ultra (for solo runners)
- Start Time: 7:00 a.m.
- Entry Fee: $43.00 pre-registration, $55.00 on race day
25K (for solo runners)
- Start Time: 7:30 a.m.
- Entry Fee: $33.00 pre-registration, $45.00 on race day
50K Team (4 person teams)
- Start Time: 9:30 a.m.
- Entry Fee: $110.00 pre-registration, NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION
- There are 4 team categories that receive awards:
- Female
- Male
- Even Mixed (two male & two female)
- Uneven Mixed (any uneven combination)
- There is a 100 team limit, please register early! Each team member runs one loop (12.5K/7.75 miles) and all four team members start the race together (this is not a relay race).
NOTE: Pre-registration is by snail mail only. All entries must be postmarked by Monday, April 14, 2008.
Pre-registered Entrants: Race numbers can be picked up starting at 5:30 a.m. at the Visitors Center.
Race Day Registration: Fill out a registration form starting at 5:30 a.m. at the Visitor's Center.
T-Shirts
Quality long sleeve shirts are awarded to all runners. 50K Ultra solo finishers are awarded a finisher's shirt and medal.

Trail Mix race proceeds are donated to the Three Rivers Park District Adaptive Equipment Fund.
The Trail Mix cross-country race is in it's 17th year and is run over hill and dale on wood chip and grass trails. Each clearly marked loop is 12.5 kilometers (7.75 miles) in length with three water stops per loop. Each approximately every 2.5 miles. Water stops include water, sports drink, energy bars and other snacks.
Charles Hubbard won the men's 50K Ultra solo for nine consecutive years and set the men's course record time of 3:15:41 in 1998. He
broke that record in 2000 with an amazing time of 3:14:18. In 2002, at the age of 40. He set a new course record with a time of 3:11:18. Sue Kainulainen of Canada set the female 50K course record with a time of 4:07:47 in 1993. It took 14 years, in 2007 a new course record was set by Eve Rembleski of Watertown, MN with a time of 4:00:55.
Daniel Casper has won the 25K solo three times. He set the course record in 1999 with a time of 1:30:17. Kelly Keeler won the 25K solo female division three times. She broke her 1999 course record in 2000 with a time of 1:40:46.
Awards
Award ceremonies will follow each of the three races. There will also be prizes by drawing.
The 50K and 25K solo awards will be presented to the 1st & 2nd place overall winners, both male and female. In the master's event, the 1st & 2nd place overall winners, both male and female. Also, the first place winner, both male and female, in each age-group category.
